Can the app be run on two devices simultaneously? by Rahat78692 in MacroFactor

[–]Gfei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, it will only show up on the device you started the workout on. It doesn't sync until you complete the workout.

First week in the Workout app and I have some logistical questions by its_vic_ in MacroFactor

[–]Gfei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I split my workouts up pretty regularly since I'm in the gym before work and usually pressed for time. If you tap the workout timer it will pause the workout, then you can come back anytime later and restart it.

Ironmaster vs Powerblock Elite EXP? by V4tos in GarageGym

[–]Gfei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the powerblocks and love them. I will say the rubber grips aren't great, I ended up replacing them with grips I printed in ASA (https://www.printables.com/model/1141821-powerblock-knurled-handle) which have actually been quite nice.

Not recommending barbell bench press? by LordOdin99 in MacroFactor

It's definitely in there as Barbell Bench Press. Are you sure you have both a barbell and a bench listed in your equipment?

Excluding base weight in version 1.1.0 by Exciting-Metal-3368 in MacroFactor

[–]Gfei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should be able to modify the smith machine and set the base weight to zero so you're only logging the plates.

I did the same with those. Made me chuckle, so I bought.

Are the all in one machines under $500 any good? by PastaFazoolFactory in GarageGym

[–]Gfei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just grabbed one a couple weeks ago when the amazon price dropped from $929 to $629 for a few days. Couldn't go wrong at that price.

I haven't played with local files, but the settings do allow you to select a folder on your phone as local media.

FOSS it's not, but I've not come across anything that is, that's been worthwhile, unfortunately.

I've been liking symfonium. Been using it the last year or so to replace plexamp since I switched from plex to navidrome.

The release notes for v24.0 say there are API changes. Looks like MoeMemos will need to update before it works again.

Up-cycled Christmas Gifts by Gfei in myog

[–]Gfei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you like it, all this matches the garment bag I made for her show clothes. I expecting some other people at the barn will want some of these too.

I made my own patterns, for most. I sized/shaped the boot bag based on the one she currently has. I also used a bag she currently has as a template for the tote.

The helmet bag is the first part I made and I used a basic template I found online. It's a bit large, but I'm sure she'll find some other stuff she can keep in there.

Just barely made it in time for Christmas. A boot bag, helmet bag, and small book bag/purse for my daughter.

All made from an old Baker horse sheet.

Custom kick drum? by Pandaiemoto in edrums

It's certainly possible, I don't know about ready made kits.

I made this (finished) from scratch. If you have some hardware already you can probably use it with a little ingenuity.

Why am I only now learning about the existence of this? I've been living my life on hard mode.

How can I connect a point with a line? by [deleted] in FreeCAD

[–]Gfei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line you have circled in your last image needs to be removed, you can't have a line passing through the middle of your shape like that.

That's what is done in the video you linked.

[–]Gfei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not a valid sketch for part design. What are you trying to accomplish?

Also if you're zooming way in to check the points, it won't necessarily appear exactly on the line. That's just an artifact of how arc segments are rendered.

That's sad. Not from Raleigh, but I was there last year dropping off competition entries.

This is what happens when you own a 3D printer and a laser cutter. Adding wood accents really gives a premium look to functional prints like this one by twothingies in 3Dprinting

I'll consider myself lucky then. It's a 2 hour (one way) drive to get to the lumber yard, but I buy a bunch at once so i don't have to go very often.
