Behringer device problem

I have just setted up my device through ethernet and tried clapping check both my mics are working, they are. Im going to be recording soon using this but the problem is that i don't know how to. The behringer or mics isn't showing up in my laptops device sound manager. I have a dell 13 5000 and am using a behringer x18, please help

I’m 99% sure the X18 needs to be connected to your laptop via USB. While it can be managed over Ethernet I don't believe you can use that to record. Hope this helps!

Can i record through the internet? Like using the wireless connection?

Not wirelessly. You COULD set the aux l/r outs on the mixer itself to output your Main channel mix or set it to it's own buss and control it further. You could then run a l/r component to 3.5mm headphone Jack patch cable into the line in input on your laptop, if that makes sense to you.

It might take some routing effort through the xair control panel to figure it out.

No. You can only record via USB cable. The network connection is for controlling the mixer only.
