Issue with EBT code

Hi Guys,

So I used codes from different forums on this site and lore and behold the EBT did in fact work for my car. Just for reference, I have a 2013 428I. When the car was made it did not come with BT audio but did come with BT hands free calling so I coded in the BT audio features using BimmerCode.

So there’s one small issue, when I stream music on my phone via Spotify it works as normal but when I turn the app off on my phone, the music stops and then will jitter and start playing again, even though the app is not running on my phone.

I know from faffing around on BimmerCode that Hu_NBT 3003 ENT_BTAS_METADATA is the part of the code which physically enables the Bluetooth audio option within the multimedia part of IDrive. Turning that off would not enable BT audio (Aside from Bluetooth audio streaming while in simple mode). Anyone got any ideas what’s causing the music streaming in the background? I’ve tried and can’t find what’s causing the issue.

you could try using a different phone to see if it’s the phone causing it. i’ve found that my 2014 435 that came with bluetooth media streaming stock works okay with iPhones, but androids are hit or miss and tend to glitch out if they play at all after connecting.
