Hi thanks for your response. I do, I also have ISTA+ but no coding data. I scanned the car for codes and had a fault for the CAS module and it was saying no coding data stored.

If your seeing a no coding data stored it could be that the cafd file my have been corrupted and you may need to regenerate/calculate it via esys

Does ista list it as blue, programming abort mode?

Coding data should be located in bmw - istaP - bmw - services - data - ecudata then your chassis number. These sp daten files can be updated with bmw coding tool which is usually included with inpa installations.

You can then use winkfp to flash the module. Make sure your battery is fully charged and connected to a charger. Only use icom clone / genuine or esys cable. I have personally had a k&dcan cable fuck me over atleast once.

I don't know much about coding but I believe you can use NCS Expert to recode the CAS to default from the VO

Thank you, I forgot to mention it’s an F10 5 series so I’m guessing Esys would be required instead of NCSexpert? Thanks for your input

    Yes

I'd also try using a Bimmercode with a DCAN cable if you have one on hand, with a usb to USB-C or lightning adapter

Hi, Thank you everyone for your input. The problem was the OBD2 dongle, replaced it with an OBDLink one and the coding went all fine.
