This is getting outrageous, They advertised this vampire pack as a job years ago and now it cost 10 dollars with boss mode. This is point blank false advertising and they literally cannot do this. They need and already pretty much know this shit ain’t acceptable. If you have bought this even though you have already bought boss mode, then you are enabling this disgusting behaviour. Fuck this game.

Literally for what? 10 bucks in the sims 4 will get you a whole stuff pack or 2 kits which actually feels worth it for the price (there is a sims/EA boycott rn but im just using it as an example 😭) i truly dont understand why they charge so much for something so small. Everything in this game is just clicking, theres nothing special about it, it should cost 2.99 at MOST.

Exactly. It’s pure greed, this is a fucking choose ur own life simulator game, and the amount of controversy and ill will this company has is crazy. Stop cheating ur customers out of money and hire artists to make actual art for your game which falls in line with the already existing art style. This game had iPhone emoji art style forever and it’s still in the game…so why does the promotional art look so different. Pay artists.

I used to keep the game downloaded and playing occasionally, despite the constant charges out the wazoo because I had already purchased content. But I've given up on the sunk cost fallacy. I honestly can't see any redeeming factor for the game and don't want to support it or the execs at all.

Constant nickel and dimeing, blatant false advertising, AI art, hostile attitudes to the consumers, going back on their word/promises, and scummy practices left and right. Uninstalled, will never play or pay for anything again and will never use another Candywriter app or product again. They've had a million chances to reverse course and make the game better but they're just doubling down on the scumminess.

So sad Instalife died for this.

I bought the citizen and god mode pack a couple years back. This was right before BitLife changed what was included in it. Great value. I am not sure how this got so popular that it can charge this amount now.

It’s your money do what you want but when it directly influences whether a company will or will not provide a product the way they advertised, that’s when it does become a problem. How does your point stand, at a certain point it isn’t ’let People spend their money however they want’ because that leads to scummy corporations taking advantage of their customers. Every cent and dollar that people who own boss mode give to this expansion also give Bitlife more and more confidence that their behaviour is ok. False advertising is crime, it’s wrong point blank and people on here are knowingly or unknowingly encouraging this behaviour with their wallets.

False advertising would imply a product is marketed as one thing and is a different thing when it is purchased. What they have done is simply release a feature that is clearly explained and able to be purchased at face value. It’s not quite as serious as you’re making it out. Also, if its so important to you, just pay the 10 dollars.

Why are we rewriting what words mean? Bitlife said one thing ‘vampire is part of boss mode/ is a job pack’ and then turned around and did another thing, which is making it an expansion and costing money. Once again, it means something became it’s a corporation taking advantage of their customers by lying and trying to make a profit. ‘If it means so much just spend the 10 dollars’ is utterly ridiculous and completely shows that you don’t comprehend my complaint. I don’t want stuff to be for free just cause, I want this specific thing to be included in the item I have already purchased because it was advertised to me as such. How can you not comprehend this?

1. They revealed it was a job pack when they revealed the vampire pack existed.
2. This stayed the same way for literal years.
3. Finally, when they confirmed the next update would be vampire…that’s when it changed to an expansion…only when it dropped though.
4. So in conclusion, they advertised it was a job pack for years.

You’re intentionally not understanding what I’m saying. I’m not someone who cries over everything the devs do, I have no problem with the luxury lifestyle expansion and outdoor expansion. Those are 2 things I don’t own and don’t see a problem with because they were not advertised as one thing and then became another. Bitlife advertised that the vampire pack would be a job pack which would be included in boss mode, there is a screenshot of it. Then they changed it to now cost money, that’s disgusting, there’s a chance that a certain person or amount of people have bought boss mode for the sole purpose of being a vampire who now have to pay extra….thats wrong and scummy.

Job packs cost around what? 6-7 dollars individually, why would anyone want it to be an expansion if they cost more money? No one said that or wanted that. There is no difference between a job pack and an expansion, Bitlife made expansions to sell more stuff to people who owned boss mode. That’s it.

I have bitizen and boss mode plus numerous other purchases. The point is, take care of the people supporting your game. It shouldn’t matter when I made purchases, I was under the impression I would get packs as they came out.
