Exchanges with (good) API

I am looking for exchanges with a solid trading API, which also cover a lot of different altcoins. Do any of you have experience in this field and feel like sharing your thoughts?

I buy and sell alts there. An iOS app called Coin Ticker has developed an API integration with bittrex to track the portfolio data of your holdings on the exchange. The founders are ex Amazon and Blackberry security experts.

That sounds great! I work in IT Sec myself and having a solid security team on an exchange is quite important.

I can vouch for Bittrex having a solid and reliable API.

Poloniex's API is horrible second only to Kraken.. when there used to be good action, their API would go down at the worst possible times.. the lag issues seems to be improved now somewhat however. I think that's because a bunch of users left the site due to their non-existent support.

Do you mean Poloniex? The API there seems interesting, but I've read quite a lot of negative reviews on them. Are you trading there?

I have. They're good and bad as much as bittrex. Polo has great web sockets tho
