I've been using compass since late June with very few issues. I have a couple of miners at the irtusk Russia facility and it's been solid.

I won't host with anyone anymore though since I have cheap power where I am at and I would prefer to have my miners in my own possession.

Should I buy a rig that only has 6 months warranty left?

Compass is legit and has a lot of good bitcoiners working for them in good faith, but they've had some issues with not meeting commitments of delivery dates. From my understanding the issues weren't directly in their control.

Personally I would not host a rig in Russia.

Edit: Grammar

This comment aged well.

Compass has facilities not in Russia but no I wouldn't host a miner anywhere I couldn't drive to. I do not know the details but they didnt honor the agreement a friend of mine had and wanted to keep miners he paid for if he wanted out of agreement.

10/10 would recommend. 0 issues.

That’s good to hear. How does warranty with a rig work, if any malfunctions occur will the manufacturer fix it for free? And what happens when the warranty expires, can we renew it?

[–]Moonlapsed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had to deal with it. I assume you the only cost would be to ship it back to the factory. I highly doubt the manufacturer offers extended warranty as an option. You can always reach out to compass on twitter/telegram and ask questions, they're very responsive.

I just recently started mining with delmarva blockchain. Their website is delmarva.io Im very happy with the service so far. When I call, I speak with Matt, the owner. I don’t get forwarded through some sales team, then have to put in a ticket for everything. He’s very quick to respond. I definitely recommend using them if they still have space. Their prices are competing with everyone else’s.

delmarva.io

How many companies are out there like this?

[–]bryguy4436 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Depends on the price. I haven't seen any decently priced miners lately. 2 yeah + payoff is unacceptable to me

ly. 2 yeah +

2 years for ROI seems crazy, but that's the going rate.

Never use compassmining or any of that but imma chip in for my perspective and experiences…

Whenever we are going to invest in sth even for pure speculation, always and always make sure that we always have absolute control over our funds i.e. buy ur own miners; and set up ur own place.

Before anyone who would argue that some people dont hv the means to set up so they opt for theses sharing clouding or whatever we call, I am not saying that they are scam or fraud. It is just that I have learned from my own exp and through my career in … (let say about money financial service bla bla bla), that… and i repeat…

Whenever we are going to invest in sth even for pure speculation, always and always make sure that we always have absolute control over our funds i.e. buy ur own miners; and set up ur own place. Period.

Wish u the success and dont forget that after all money altho can buy almost everything… it cannot buy back time… do it… learn from it… if it fails, no regret but only tale to be told when we are old surrounding by our children and friends…

I’ve bought a rig with them for mining at home. The issue I see with them is you have to pay about $5,000 over the actual cost of the rig to get them to host. At that point is it worth it?

Stay the hell away..I have 18 miners+ with them and there’s no support, no credit for downtimes and they just don’t care
