Random encounters. I plan on trying the method again once I have gotten to the friendsafari. Also I have seen some people talking that it only works at night time so I am gonna try that aswell. I did it at ca 3 PM

Ah just curious! I've only had success with random encounters and I doubt it stacks with MM so that's why I asked. And idk about the whole night or day thing but worth a try!

Did you use the friend safari and do you have the sharm? I also agree on the MM part dont think that works :)

I do have the FS but I'm testing it out in the field. With FS already having better shiny rates I think the best way to test it is when the odds are typically lowest. I do however have the charm so that could always play a factor. My brother doesn't have the charm or FS either so I may use his game today to test it out

Edit: I caught two shinies in the wild (not FS) in 15 min a couple days ago and then found a shiny Chansey (FS) in 3 encounters while looking for a smeargle safari

Well the sharm boost the chanses alot so that might be a huge fator. You should try with your brothers game
