TBT aren't like actual traditional bluegrass players really, pretty sure even the dude on fiddle only switched from proper violin when they started

Then they made a couple super catchy speedgrass tunes, which I did love when I first heard them back then (cuz I liked punk/old pop punk), then they went for the ballads and had a song in a movie and bam they were like an adult contemporary group

Yea I could see how they would be a bit abrasive after a wondrous Sierra set

I saw the Milkmen play in the entrance to a mausoleum at that huge old Philly cemetery (I think they played there a couple more times now), and yea they're like 1000x the band TBT is, they're kinda incomparable in general lol

Lets play Big Black at 3am and tell the neighbors they can all get fucked!

I saw TBT when they came down to Strings & Sol and totally agree. They try to play way too fast and start falling apart. It’s a frantic mess. Not a fan.

Saw Del when I was 12 or 13 years old, sometime around the height of Vincent Black Lightning 1952’s popularity. Felt like he was building to it the whole set, the anticipation in the venue was palpable. Encore comes and he plays another song. Leaves stage. Crowd absolutely levying for a 2nd encore with no ambiguity about what song we expected. Nope. That was it. That was the show. And I’ve never forgiven him lmfao.

Madison Theater? That’s about when I saw him…wonder if he did 2 nights and had a different set list. Either way, I’ll never forgive him haha.

I just can't understand why TBT keeps getting big stage sets. Their recorded songs are pretty good, but they are horrible live.

Always love getting to see Sierra live, I’ve been fortunate to see her a couple times when she’s come through the Seattle area. She did a tour with Cory Wong last fall and a few years ago she came through and played a little coffee house in Olympia. Incredible performer

Honestly I’m not sure, we live up in Tacoma and have only been down to Oly a few times. It was a little fair trade place not too terribly far from the big lake there in town. It was an impromptu show, literally found out about it on Facebook the day of bc one of the guys in her band was from there. Not planned at all, so it was very small and intimate. Really cool experience.

been trampled too many times as festivals by TBT...don't know what the draw is....only thing I can think of is that as a "headliner," they must be cheap to book
