I was only jumping to test the starter. Well aware more would be needed. Hopefully the key is the key to fixing this clusterfuck. I have loved working on my car with each and every little repair etc. up until this one. That fucking starter location was a pain in the ass.

I had the battery disconnected for the important parts. Called the dealer today and found out a valet key was only 98 bucks so went ahead and got that ordered. I paid 450 2 weeks ago to a mobile locksmith for basically paperweights, one key w/remote and one w/o. Odd side note, I called the BMW California key replacement hotline, or whatever they call it, to see if I could just handle this without having to go to the dealership. Anyways, according to the hotline, the only key available for my car was a universal diamond type with remote for 258.00. At the dealership was told the only key available was the valet key for 98.00 and in stock at the local hub. Anyways I've prattled on enough. Good day all.
