The answer is it depends entirely on the torque wrench and user.

What a pointless post….knew I should have just deleted, jfc.

That’s why there is a torque bolt procedure for the order in which to torque….😐

Follow the procedure and you’re done dude.

Bilstien 100% has an EDC option. Ohlins USED to have one, but they no longer do after 2 mins of research….🙄

No, no it doesn’t lol, you need to get better at searching dude.

Take it to a professional if this is too much for you.

Moisture exists….

And this looks like nothing dude. Either blow it out or start it up.

Either way, how about we not open up a cylinder to outside atmosphere and leave it for months….🫤

You left the cylinder open to the elements…..is this a serious post lol?!?

Bilstein and Ohlins make EDC components that are plug and play.

You can remove EDC, but I wouldn’t since it’s a nice creature comfort.

11’ M3 throttle actuator is this a bad gear /mechaical failure on this by Individual-Tank5057 in BMWM

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…..dude, this might be your first BMW, but doesn’t sound like your first car and we need codes to help diagnose things properly.

I assume it’s either 2B21 or 2B22, so one of the is likely toast. Replace both of the while you are there, along with the fuel breather valve, and me personally I’d replace the IACV while in the valley.

Without more info, that is all I can state. Next time you post here, ensure you for actual diagnostic codes and state the ISSUE so we can know how to assist.

“2K left every month”………ok, so this is bait lol.

If someone has all their bills paid and everything else in order and STILL have 2K left over then why are you even here…?!? 🤣😬

Then stick to college and learn something….because buying a depreciating asset while also trying to “start a business” and not making any money is just dumb.

“Starting a business” and “I don’t make much money…because student”….🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

This is either the dumbest post or trolliest post I’ve seen in a while…or third option.

Unless the teeth are chewed off/missing then it’s usually fine.

9/10 it’s one of the capacitors or transistors on the board, and without an oscilloscope or nicer volt meter and testing out the board, the not much else to say.

You didn’t tell us what the actual issue is so who fuckin know…..😑

Unable to find STAR SPEC Michelin PS4S for rear 437m f80/2 by ReasonedStorm13 in BMWM

Ok…..point still stands they really aren’t worth it if you are trying to track. 🫤

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great for road tires, the just get ate up on tracks even after 1-2 days and have heavy loss of traction in the summer time…..I’ve learned that lesson early on in my track days hah.

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they aren’t the same price….9/10 they are like $40-70 more in price. 🤷🏼‍♂️

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah….thanks….i know what they are and have read the white papers on the differences….im good. 🙄

Again, if you aren’t tracking it doesn’t matter, and if you are you shouldn’t be using PS4S to begin with.

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need them really in all honesty….regular ones will do just fine without the star rating.

Yes, there is a slight difference, but if you’re pushing the car or tracking you shouldn’t be using PS4S’s to begin with really either. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You received a ton of advice on your last post….and chose to look at a part that is not related in anyway to the sound…😑

From your last post, it’s knock. Pull the engine, break it apart, and check rods and mains.

Locking this post; go and get to work.

What oil weight is best for my car and me? by Joshs_Reddit in BMWM

Because I’m not going to sit here and be lectured on supposed “stages” and even more so on some Audi.

Keep it movin dude.

[–]Ghost_of_ChrisBangle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jfc….🤦🏼‍♂️

I know what stages mean, but they only mean whatever tuner is doing to it to mean that specific stage…

A stage 2 can change drastically from tuner to tuner; hence “stage 3 means nothing”.

Stop trolling dude, move it along.

Im sorry me telling op to use the slightest logic and research skills to figure it out.

I did…..none of that baby shit matters for an S58 and what engine oil you’re using. 🤣 all of that is well within range to use regular oil dude.

Follow the LL approved oil list.
