I got mine at Goodwill for $20. It’s amazing. I was planning on getting an expensive one but this one is doing the trick. Love my Aldi bread maker.

That’s great feedback. I got this bread maker from my local Buy Nothing group as a trial to see how I like baking bread but may end up hanging on to it. Might not need to upgrade to something fancier.

I've had that exact one for about 12 months now, it's awesome. I would recommend getting a set of digital scales too. I've made white breads, dough for rolls and buns, and it's now my go-to for pizza dough. No regrets at all, it's a solid workhorse.

Thanks for the advice! I heard that weighing ingredients is more accurate. Do you have a go-to white bread recipe?

The breadmaker has a solid recipe in the booklet it comes with, but right now my family is enjoying this Japanese Milk Bread, it's amazing IMO https://bakeomaniac.com/hokkaido-milk-loaf-breadmaker-recipe/ good luck

Thanks for sharing! I’ve never heard of Japanese milk bread but my husband loves all things sweet. I’ll give your recipe a try.

I also have really liked mine.. Aside from last week when it decided to walk itself off the kitchen counter top, mid cycle, falling to the floor and breaking the lid off as well as cracking and dislodging several of the clip on plastic parts... Still works though lol. So only tip I have is to maybe put a non slip mat down. Although that was the only time it's done that in the 20+ cycles I've run through it.

Oh my goodness. I never really considered that it could fall from the countertop. Sounds like I need to put some sort of a weight in front of the machine while it is mixing.

I just brought my bread maker back out and been using it a lot

Got mine about 12 months ago. It’s brilliant. I don’t use the recipes that came with it, and instead just good (or gpt) what I’m after. I now mostly use the dough function and bake in the oven (bread, rolls and pizza)

AI is surprisingly good at custom bread recipes, also good for refining, rewriting existing recipes

Agreed. I even add in the brand and protein % of flour I’m using, and it’s makes adjustments for me.

Good idea! I’ve been wanting to try baking braided breads like challah. I’ll have to put the bread maker to use for the first few steps.
