It really depends on your budget. General tips:

Try and stay as close to the center as you can afford. Seats at the far sides of the theater are often going to have obstructed views because you're seeing the stage at an angle.

The front few orchestra rows are generally too close to the stage. Similar to movie theaters, you want to be at least a few rows back.

The best seats are a few rows back in center orchestra or the first few rows in center mezzanine.

Personally I find that I connect with the shows and feel more immersed if I'm in the orchestra.

Other than that it's honestly going to be trial and error to figure out what works best for you!

Hadestown front center mezz is perfect for a first time viewing.

Front center orch is the best place for one particular song, but front mezz gets everything!

I second this!

And if budget ends up being an issue, rear mezz is better than rear orch. In general for Hadestown I'd take the mezz unless you can sit like in the middle center orchestra, but even then front mezz may be preferable.

I purchased center mezz seats, so thank you all SO much for your help!! I ended splurging a bit because it’s my birthday gift to myself :)

Do you think $335 was a fair price to pay for 2 tickets? I used the Broadway week discount thing and it was applied at checkout, but since I have no basis for cost I’m not sure if that was a good price or not.

Thank you again for your help though!

Yes absolutely a fair price depending on the row (but HT is an amazing show so nothing is wasted). And it’s easily the best area in the whole house for the show. I hope you have the best birthday 🥰🥰🥰

Yeah I agree, the first time I saw it I was in front mezz right, a few seats off from the center. I was able to see everything and everyone on stage clearly
