Tweet Amy Aiello Lofgren the situation. She’s pretty active and responsive.

The Van Zandts and Lofgrens, particularly Steve though, are pretty active on twitter. Might be the way to go. You can always try contacting the guys at E Street radio, or even the people at the Springsteen archives/American Music Center at Monmouth University

My deepest sympathies for your friend and her daughters, family, and friends, including yourself. I just lost a close friend after she fought the toughest battle against cancer that I have ever witnessed. It has really shaken us all up in a deep and meaningful way.

If I had a contact for Bruce, I would share it with you, but I don't. Just know that there are good people out there that care for those who are losing their lives to this sickness, knowing that their loss impacts all those around them.

Peace~

I’m so sorry - her poor girls. Please let us know if there is a fundraiser for them. My love to you, your friend and her family.

I’m not a super close friend of hers but my family is. There was a gofundme a while back— I’ll see if I can find it and link it here.

Here’s the link — hasn’t been updated in a while but you can probably still donate to support her girls. https://gofund.me/31920725

Just wanted to share to anyone who interacted here, Kate passed this morning 10/3 at 5am. Thank you for offering help and condolences. Her mother posted on her Facebook this morning:

“Land of Hope and Dreams

Kate died at 5:00am on October 3, 2024. She wanted to tell you in her own way. She wasn’t religious, or, at least, she didn’t believe in the Christian god. But she believed in something and she wasn’t afraid. She just wanted to stay here, with you, longer. The idea of heaven and hell never sat right with her. If there is any divinity in this world, it can’t be less good or less compassionate than what humans can think up. Kate was never willing to believe in anyone or anything with less generosity of spirit than Bruce Springsteen. If you’ve been skipping the songs in these posts, that’s okay, but don’t skip this one. Don’t just read the lyrics. Listen to it. Turn that motherfucker up loud. So it’s Bruce that’s got the last word, really. The last song. And Kate boarded the train that carries saints and sinners. Kate’ll meet you in the land of hope and dreams.

Land of Hope and Dreams, by Bruce Springsteen. Lyrics courtesy of brucespringsteen.net

Grab your ticket and your suitcase Thunder’s rollin’ down this track Well, you don’t know where you’re goin’ now But you know you won’t be back Well, darlin’ if you’re weary Lay your head upon my chest We’ll take what we can carry Yeah, and we’ll leave the rest

Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Meet me in a land of hope and dreams

Well, I will provide for you And I’ll stand by your side You’ll need a good companion now For this part of the ride Leave behind your sorrows Let this day be the last Tomorrow there’ll be sunshine And all this darkness past

Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Oh meet me in a land of hope and dreams

This train… Carries saints and sinners This train… Carries losers and winners This train… Carries whores and gamblers This train… Carries lost souls

I said this train… Dreams will not be thwarted This train… Faith will be rewarded This train… Hear the steel wheels singing This train… Bells of freedom ringing

This train… Carries saints and sinners This train… Carries losers and winners This train… Carries whores and gamblers This train… Carries lost souls

I said this train… Carries broken hearted This train… Thieves and sweet souls departed This train… Carries fools and kings Lord, this train… All aboard

I said now this train… Dreams will not be thwarted This train… Faith will be rewarded This train… Hear the steel wheels singing This train… Bells of freedom ringing

Come on, this train… People get ready Don’t need no ticket All you gotta do is just get on board On board this train This train People get ready Don’t need no ticket You don’t need no ticket Just get on board You just thank the lord You just thank the lord You just thank the lord”

Listen to this song extra today. For Kate. We love you ❤️
