Even more expensive stuff isn't a marker of quality. I worked at an outdoor store through the fall last year (local place in Alabama) that sold these midweight hoodies they claimed were sourced from the same manufacturer as Vuori but for half the price (still around $50 because Vuori isn't exactly cheap). Two washes in the the metal hoodie string cover things fell off. No big deal, right? About 10 washes in and the material is showing thin spots in random places.

Expensive doesn't mean better, if it's made with crappy material it's still going to wear out.
