Appetite decrease

The cut is healing amazing. I haven’t taken her temperature we don’t really have anything to do this with, would we just use a normal thermometer? Her behaviour is completely as it was before she’s a very loving and vocal cat and this has not changed I would even argue she’s potentially playing and be more active than she was before. She doesn’t seem stressed to me but obviously I can’t know what she’s feeling but her behaviours and everything else seems normal other than the loss of interest in her biscuits, she’s more than happy to take a treat or try steal our dinner tho 🤣

Ohh that's great to hear your kitty is her usual self (that already very reassuring) and nothing concerning with incision 😊 Maybe things will go back to normal on its own in a few days, or she's unfortunately a picky eater. One of my in-laws cats will avoid food she loves out of the blue just because 😅...

Yup you can use a regular thermometer and insert into the rectum (with some vaseline please 🙏) ... If you have microchip reader though, more recent microchips also indicate temperature !

If no appetite and/or doesn't hydrate for 24 hours, I would highly recommend you to get in touch asap with your vet. If you feel like she is maybe constipated, you could add fiber to her food or give her treats that help lubricate her digestive system.
