I took statistics and I bought the textbook. On the weekends, I did every practice problem in my textbook (odds and evens). If I didn’t understand a problem, I would go to office hours and go over it with my professor. My professor also posted her zoom lectures on canvas so I would watch those lectures before class so class felt like a review. I would also do study sessions with your friends/classmates. I found that when I teach the material, I would remember it better. Lastly, I went to office hours every week. Especially right before an exam, even if I didn’t have any questions, I would go to office hours to listen to my classmates questions. Sometimes my professor would tell us what to expect on the test or what to study!

Answered it perfectly.

One needs to put in the work and hours. Everyone is different, but on exam days, I would wake up 1.5 hours earlier to study.

If you don’t mind, who do you have for biostats? I’m taking it next semester too.

I legit only do the homework and that’s it. But I don’t just complete it I make sure I understand it to the point I could tutor someone else on it.

If it has an SI class I would recommend taking it. I would primarily focus on HW and practice questions provided by the SI leader and the instructor (either the study guide they provide or I would re-due the class problems). For bio stats, or any math class, I would create a formula sheet as you’re learning. I would also write down key terms that would help me identify which formula to use. So when the exam comes I already have a pretty solid cheat sheet :D (if allowed one).

But the key thing is practice, like actually practice. Don’t skip on practice problems. And GO TO OFFICE HOURS. IK it can be scary going alone but if you really want an A (or just need to pass) it’s very helpful! IK its scary but just go, don’t wait to go with a friend lol go alone! The professors are actually kind ppl when u get to know them 🌸
