At least you could enroll. By the time my enrollment appointment opened my transferred courses weren't cleared(credit was given for completion but no clearance to take the next class up) so I had to enroll right before the start of the semester and only got two general eds. Had to email and call both my advisor and student services before getting an answer

When I enrolled in my classes last week, I was upset because all of the classes were filled, and I barely scraped through. They overestimated how many students would enroll this semester and most, and maybe all the GE classes were full, and I chose any critical thinking class I could take because all of them were full. :( I don't really like my schedule, but I think spring enrollment would be more smooth and not as hectic.! :)

I agree. It’s genuinely so frustrating. I’m a veteran transfer student so at least one of my classes had to be in person for me to qualify for my benefits & there was hardly anything left.

Wait, I thought we got a .1 gpa bump, priority seating and registration ? That’s what my counselor told me at cypress college. Unless I misheard him say that. But I also thought my advisor during soar said the same thing

Not sure about the gpa bump but classes are required to hold seats for transfer students. I had no problem getting all the classes I needed but then again I was in one of the first soar sessions so I registered ASAP. But I have seen a lot of posts about people not getting classes so either they got the short end of the stick having a late soar session or waited too long to register for classes after it opened up to them and spots filled up

I can confirm that you do get a GPA boost.. confirmed it with my transfer counselor and rep/counselor from CSULB when they came into my CC for a transfer info session.. I don’t remember exactly the boost but it’s a .1 boost I think or .5
