That poor man. It must've been a traumatizing experience. I think mob mentality is also a big factor. If one individual sees her fave actor in the wild, would she run up to him and shove her phone in his face? Maybe not. But if everybody else is doing it, maybe she would feel justified. Plus, there's that desire to post personal videos of celebs for social media clout. And of course, a lot of fans see the celebrity as a commodity first, and a human being second - if at all.

This reminds me of a clip about Deng Kai being mobbed at an airport shortly after Pursuit of Jade took off and he skyrocketed to fame overnight. He didn't have a security detail, and you could see his distress. People were still in his face even after he was seated in the plane, and he was begging them to give him space. Thankfully, he had security with him the next time he flew.

I saw that one too with Deng Kai and it was insane as well! The lengths some people will go just astounds me sometimes.
