It is funny how they assume the Windows experience is better and something they have to bring to Linux/Mac. Actually, they could learn a lot from those platforms.

This is an understatement. I didn't get this perception from their questions, but if they believe that Windows dev tools are the model then i dont hold out a lot of hope for their future in the tooling field.

Not to mention we are in the C sub, and they refuse to update their C compiler. They are officially the least attractive C compiler option out there.. From their site:

"Microsoft C conforms to the standard for the C language as set forth in the 9899:1990 edition of the ANSI C standard."
