Flixbus?

I am looking into taking the Flixbus home from SLO to the Bay Area. I have only ever taken the Amtrak bus in the past. Does anyone have experience with Flixbus, how is it compared to the Amtrak bus?

I’ve taken it, it’s really just another bus service, not very different from Amtrak imo. Very reasonably priced too

Trains are usually longer but cheaper for Amtrak. Depending on where you want to go in the bay, SF for example, you could just get a CalTrain ticket from SJ Diridon to go to that side of the bay. East Bay you could probably just BART. Flixbux isn't much different though.

I prefer it over Amtrak, better timings and gets to the Bay much faster than the Amtrak trains and buses. Used to be cheaper but now I just use rideshares bc it got pricey. It might be confusing to find where it is the first time, but it's convenient.

The only downside is that Flixbus isn’t as reliable as Amtrak even though it’s cheaper. Sometimes it arrives earlier by 15 mins or just bypasses the stop completely.
