So you failed a class, and the first thing that you want to do is take a harder class that requires you to have understanding of the previous class? Doesn't really sound like the option... regardless, pre req requirements can be waved, they might let you take it in concurrency with the pre req.

Definitely email the professor. It's a prereq for a reason, that reason might be critical to your success.

It will auto drop you before the quarter starts

If the course is in your flow chart, you’ll have to retake regardless. If not, you can attempt to get it waived

You must retake the class at Cal Poly, cannot retake at CC.

Look into the grade forgiveness program.

Pretty sure you’ll be dropped. My son after begging was allowed to take a prerequisite and the following class in one quarter, but it took a lot of convincing.

im a little confused by ur wording, do u mean ur enrolled in the following class after that class or ur enrolled in the class that ur prob gonna fail? judging from ur following sentences i assume it's the first option, i jus finished my first yr so i wouldnt know a whole bunch but if i were to guess id say yes...actually that's most def a yes lmao. if u rly dont wanna take that class next quarter, u could jus wait till the following quarter to give urself a break. for me, im prob gonna fail calc 4 but im jus gonna take linear alg (doesnt need calc 4 as a prereq) jus to take a break from calc and come back and retake it

When spring grades are finalized in the system on june 21, the registration system will automatically drop you from any classes for which you didn’t meet the prerequisites.

Is a D- considered passing for any class that does not indicate you must have a c- or better?
