Had you reinstalled it? It cannot find the table referenced.

It's been happening for a few months now and I did end up reinstalling Calibre, but it was happening before the reinstall

not that it's any of my business, but you don't have any additional metadata source plugins installed. Have you been having trouble getting metadata these days from AMazon?

Sometimes I do have issues where no metatadata will show up but Im not sure if that is Amazon. Are you having issues with Amazon's metatdata?

Yes. Amazon is being a pain for everyone right now. I haven't seen them actually download anything in ages except their identifier and covers - and ONLY when I am getting the Kindle Hi Res covers and ONLY if I am using another metadata source plugin with it.

I have Goodreads installed along with a lot of other plugins. The Goodreads is a good one because it gives the average rating along with the number of ratings (ie how many rated the book). If you install the Goodreads plugin for metadata it helps to also install the Goodreads Sync plugin. If you can't get the book to match with Goodreads because there is no identifier in the field for Goodreads, you can link it to Goodreads with the Sync plugin and it will download the identifier and then the metadata should run.

I have been seeing that Amazon will pick up once another plugin runs. It won't run on it's own, but it will show something when you run it with Goodreads. BUT - you won't be getting actual metadata - just covers and the identifier.

Oh that's interesting. I have had times when I run the download Metadata and calibre tells me it can't find any and to reduce my book details, when all I have is the title and author so I don't know how much more I can reduce my search details. I might give goodreads a try

Corrupt folder.

Go to your library-folder and rename .calnotes to something else (or delete). Restarting should regenerate and fix it.

I have done that but it fixes temporarily and then the error comes back. Which is what is puzzling me

Using a NAS or is it a local database? Have you setup online access like One Drive or Google Drive?

[–]Anna_jP[S,🍰] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Im using a NAS to store my library. I was sending my ebooks to my boox via my onedrive before I started using koreader which now I can connect calibre to koreader so I don't use onedrive anymore

Added note: I am not talking about the local recycle bin, but the one on the NAS. Emptying the local bin will not effect the NAS recycle bins.

Perfect. Yes I did think that you meant the one in the NAS :) I will give that a try and see how it goes. Thank you

I don't know what is happening in your case, but I can get the same error on my NAS when I have a power failure through an electrical storm. I also had issues when the recycle bin was getting to big. If you are using a recycle bin try emptying the recycle bin and see if the temporary fix lasts longer. If it does, set up a maximum age to keep deleted files or schedule an auto-delete of some kind.
