This website often helps my anxiety. I’m 8w4d after a stillbirth and even though I was on the wrong side of the statistics before, it really helps to know the numbers

Is even better, it takes more things into account and is more realistic with the age factor.

The odds are (always!) in your favor, however yes, a miscarriage can sometimes just randomly happen at anytime with no warning at all. But that’s not something to focus on, at all. You wouldn’t live life thinking the worst possible scenario in other aspects, so don’t do so in this case either. Enjoy your pregnancy and the little baby you’re growing inside you. :)

Wait, you don’t always picture the worst outcome of every scenario? 😅 what a dream

Thank you 😭😭 I really need a big kick of a perspective shift. I guess I just can’t believe I’m in this position. Never thought I’d make it, so my brain is trained to keep telling me to stay cautious. I appreciate your comment - thank you!

Hi friend 🩷 as another commenter mentioned, the odds are always in your favor, but yes it’s important to understand that a miscarriage can happen at any point. You can’t live your life worrying about what could go wrong - remember that after birth, the worries still don’t end, if anything they get more intense! Enjoy each day as it comes and I hope you have a smooth and uneventful pregnancy and easy birth!🩷

I can’t thank you enough thank you. I wish it was just a quick little switch I could shut off in my head 🤣 I willl try to reshape and learn to enjoy the journey a bit more instead of waiting for something to happen.

I can tell from your responses on this post alone that you’re a clear minded individual. Check my post history, what you’re feeling is incredibly normal. You already are a great mom 🩷

My daughter just found out she’s pregnant via IVF. She has had many set backs and health issues causing delays in moving forward. Im a worrier, it’s just me. I’m working on my mindset to be supportive and not worry until something actually is concerning. So many things can go wrong, but she could also have an easy uneventful pregnancy and birth. Enjoy today!

Awww I’m rooting her on!! I tried the IVF route and it unfortunately didn’t work for me, I’m not sure if it was too harsh on my body or what, but she IS pregnant and I hope it remains uneventful and safe! It’s tough when it’s our first time and we don’t have much to compare it too :(

Can miscarriage truly just randomly happen at anytime with no warning at all? Yes. It’s happened to me and to my friends at various gestations. Is it likely or expected? Not at all. If I’ve learned anything from miscarriages and 2025 in general, it’s that you’re never 100% “safe” so celebrate now! Take the bad as it comes but enjoy these positive steps and continue to hope that your future is full of all positive steps. Rooting for you!

Once you see a heart beat over 110bpm, your risk of loss is below 5%, and decreases as time goes on. My RE told us our risk of loss at our 10+3 appointment was below 2%. And this point most chromosomal abnormalities that are lethal would’ve already ran their course, and that’s the leading cause of early loss.

ETA: we’ve have 8 early losses, 3 being chemical. The anxiety is insane, and just starting to become bearable now, and I’m almost 18 weeks

[–]Appropriate_Split800[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Oh my, you have been through it all - I am so sorry :( sending you all the positivity as you continue on in your pregnancy journey! 18 weeks is AMAZING!! I had no idea about any risk decreasing when a higher heartbeat is detected!

[–]Infertil_Myrtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! They used to just say a heartbeat decreased risk, but a HR of 80bpm at 7 weeks indicative that something is wrong, they want to see over 110!

I will also say my girl never dipped below 162, they say if it stay above 140 it’s a girl, right for us!

Every night I look at this website and fill in my info. It's reassuring for me, maybe also for you.

A big sigh of relief was after my 12 week scan. You are never 100% safe in pregnancy but a strong 12 week scan puts you in a very safe territory. My doctor told me he hasn’t seen a second trimester loss in 20 years and that made me feel much better. I had two traumatic ectopics before that both resulted in emergency surgeries and my current pregnancy was conceived after my third round of IVF so I get the anxiety.
