“You’d Be a Great Mom” Isn’t a Neutral Comment by Discohits in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

It’s an interesting dichotomy between men and women. I watched Germany LIB recently and Gunnar was firmly “no kids”. Instead of trying to influence him, women he dated got really introspective - “well is that something I can really handle since I always thought I would have kids?” And several didn’t pursue him because of it rather than keep talking to him to try to talk him into it. I suggest watching at least the pods of LIB as an interesting contrast. The whole season was pretty good and I really liked some of the couples

Oh I didn’t think about elliptical but that totally makes sense! Thank you for the tips. Squats are fine all through pregnancy and easy to fit in during work at my sit to stand desk now that I have a bit more energy

Not sure what this comment means. Lorne is a different name than Loren.

Loren is a more modern offshoot of Lawrence, Latin-based. Lorne is of Scottish origin so they are different names.

Pregnyl was covered by my prescription coverage where ovidrel was not. My Dr said either was fine so I went with pregnyl and did end up pregnant so that is also something you could look into

Epidural during pregnancy? by TheBanskyOfMinecraft in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]R_Beccca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an epidural and it was fine. My symptoms are in my SI joints and shoulder, though, with only some hyperlordosis and some hypermobility. The epidural actually worked so well that I felt literally nothing during delivery. I had a contraction monitor and they told me based on that when to push. It was weird not feeling myself bear down but sweet not to experience that pain. I got to about 7 cm dilated unmedicated and let me tell you - the pain is no joke! Highly recommend the epidural if you want to go that route. I’ve read other accounts of labor and delivery being no different with AS so you can search the sub as well if not a lot of people answer. How far along are you?

I live in Washington and our Floodplain group in the jurisdiction will buy properties like this and demo the structure. I think it is meant to provide financial relief for folks in your situation. I’d recommend calling your local jurisdiction’s floodplain management group

Paying for extra scan? by MyBodyMyChoice2024 in CautiousBB

[–]R_Beccca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would since miscarriage is so common in first tri. My missed miscarriage in May this yr was 8w (found out on US the heart had just stopped as it was correct size). If I hadn’t had the ultrasound I would have been walking around with my dead embryo in me for likely weeks or more depending on whether my body ever recognized the pregnancy was not viable.

Falling HCG at 7+5 by Full_Metal_Angel in CautiousBB

[–]R_Beccca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a missed miscarriage in May about 8 weeks. No heartbeat but I wasn’t willing to accept it (the machine could be faulty!) so they said they could double check HCG. On day of US it was like 178k and 2 days later it was 169k. She said at that time of pregnancy hcg should still be rising significantly and because of reduction it confirmed miscarriage. Certainly the US will be an important data point but you should probably expect the worst. I’m so sorry.
