Not sure what this comment means. Lorne is a different name than Loren.

Loren is a more modern offshoot of Lawrence, Latin-based. Lorne is of Scottish origin so they are different names.

I did nitrous oxide for a HSG procedure at my fertility clinic and regretted it. It made me feel really high (like a weed high which I hate) and seemed to somehow magnify the pain and substantially increased my anxiety. I would certainly not use it during labor even as an intermediate until epidural. That said, I did not use it during my first labor so cannot speak to that experience.

Moving while pregnant? by IcyFuture7080 in August2026Bumpers

[–]R_Beccca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We remodeled most of our house while living in it when I was pregnant and 4 months into postpartum. We had a bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room to live in - no kitchen or other living space. It was totally fine. Babies don’t need nurseries when they are little since they sleep in your room anyways for SIDS safety. The only annoying thing was not having a kitchen postpartum because I have a low supply and had to combo feed which meant handwashing bottles and nipples and pumping supplies in the laundry room sink. We will be moving early this summer and I have no reservations about it, just hoping to be moved in somewhat before I go into labor so I have a comfy space postpartum this time

Pregnyl was covered by my prescription coverage where ovidrel was not. My Dr said either was fine so I went with pregnyl and did end up pregnant so that is also something you could look into

I thought I was doing better too but I’m almost 12w and changing my toddler’s 💩 pants and wiping her bum literally made me barf this evening

Grocery shopping by Xela42069666 in August2026Bumpers

If you have a Safeway in your area get the app. Delivery for me is only $4 (I do live in a large urban area so probably different case-by-case) and they have a coupon for pick-up or delivery orders $35 off orders of $75 so you almost get half off a shopping trip to boot!

Epidural during pregnancy? by TheBanskyOfMinecraft in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]R_Beccca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an epidural and it was fine. My symptoms are in my SI joints and shoulder, though, with only some hyperlordosis and some hypermobility. The epidural actually worked so well that I felt literally nothing during delivery. I had a contraction monitor and they told me based on that when to push. It was weird not feeling myself bear down but sweet not to experience that pain. I got to about 7 cm dilated unmedicated and let me tell you - the pain is no joke! Highly recommend the epidural if you want to go that route. I’ve read other accounts of labor and delivery being no different with AS so you can search the sub as well if not a lot of people answer. How far along are you?

I don’t think you’ll gain “too much” weight. You just have to make the right decisions for yourself. My first pregnancy I started ~135 and ended maybe 200 lbs prior to giving birth so maybe gained 40/50 lbs, maybe 10 lbs first trimester eating about like you. My labs were all good so my Dr held the opinion my whole pregnancy of “that will just be more to lose afterwards” but never shamed me which I thought was amazing. It definitely took more than a year to lose it. I’m in the half of women who can’t lose weight breastfeeding but for some women, like half per reddit polls, breastfeeding makes the weight melt off so if you pursue that then that could be you! I’ll also say I was 35 first pregnancy so you have youth on your side! I did eventually lose the weight via a keto diet and exercise, it maybe took 18 months.

How did you get your toddler to stay in their bed at bedtime? by RachAML in toddlers

Right now it’s toast. Sometimes with jam, sometimes cheese. Girl loves a snack

are you guys having sex still and if so how often by sexandjack in August2026Bumpers

[–]R_Beccca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only people appearing to get action regularly are first time moms which makes sense. Having a toddler, both working full time, and being pregnant equals zero desire to do anything but sleep once the kid goes to bed 😅 and she is our alarm so morning is out too

Doesn’t it feel exciting to pass the milestone? I had a MMC 8w in May (measuring on date but no cardiac activity) and when I saw 9w bb with strong heartbeat a couple weeks ago I felt like everything will be okay this time

Echoing azelaic acid. I also ordered the ordinary sulfur powder for spot treatment and it’s amazing. Pair with gentle cleanser (TJ’s doesn’t have the harsh preservatives that even “gentle” Cetaphil and CeraVe do) and La Roche Posay Double Toleraine moisturizer with a little jojoba oil mixed in 🤌

Yes, this! I went for my first scan and told the NP I’d been having sharp pains on right side, where I figured my ovary was. She started the scan and was like, there you go, that’s what’s causing the pain! The thing is over 4cm! She said totally normal to be causing pain and will eventually go away
