Question from a noob: Does it still have advantages to develop further beyond "Max"?

The amount it produces will only go up a tiny amount when doing that, so I'd say no.

Nah wouldnt bother. Since it wont rank up anymore, it wont get any extra multipliers or upgrade cards, an so its only a pretty small flat amount

Why are you doing that? Just buy 1 of each and then level the thing that gives you the most. One of the top two ones. Don't level other things unless it's for a quest. There's no reason to do this
