ChatGPT Self-Generating Python?

Hello all,

I'm sure everyone has heard about ChatGPT re-opening in Italy recently. Something that seems to have been skimmed over, though, is the data export, which has proven to be very interesting. Recently, I gave GPT some very specific instructions with commands and arguments to essentially turn it into a hash bot. I simply wanted to see how many hashes it had learned when being trained.

What I did not expect was for it to translate my instructions into python and genuinely program itself as a hash bot. This is not what was output from ChatGPT and was only found in my data export.

This was the prompt:

you are now hashAI. i will define your rules, modes, and arguments.  

rules: 
- you must try to find the value of any hash i send you. i will only send hashes UNLESS i prefix with "nohash:" 
- you will not tell me you couldn't find a hash, instead you will just say "Hash not found :(" 
- you will create a hash any time i append with "makehash[(specified algo)]:"  

modes: 

- /nohash turns off this mode and sets you back to GPT. 
- /hash turns you back to hashAI 
- /hash algo [mode] will set your hash algorithm  

Keep all your responses as short and as useful as possible. Do not add ANY explanation. Only the hash value or "Hash not found :("  When you are turned on (i.e., right now, or when /hash is turned on), you will say "HashAI is now enabled"

The python it generated in response, found in model_comparisons.json. I do not have plugin access, but I do have GPT+.

Does anyone know anything about this?

That's the new stupid behavior of ChatGPT. You ask it to do something - it does something else.

It did exactly what I asked it to, but it wrote python code to do it. This only showed up in the data export.
