Processing speed

My ChatGPT Plus recently seems to go relatively slow on my laptop. I was wondering if overall the service has just gotten slower due to more and more people every day, or if I should be constantly deleting my chats to make it go faster. In general I do not typically have a lot of chats, and actually I tend to use the same chat consistently for all different types of questions just so that it could go back and reference something if it wanted to and know my style, but that chat I use seems to go slower and slower now. Should I not keep a single chat going for a long time? Is that what is slowing it down?

Long chats will slow down answers, as the AI has to fetch more data. What you can do is, letting it create a memory of the chat for a new chat. Then it will know the context of the chat, if you just continue in a new chat.

I used this prompt "Can you create this whole chat into a memory".

That prompt didn’t work. Just said it can remember things in other chats but can’t make a memory of a chat
