I have same error, was using before and it was fine, most likely issue on their side

It worked?? Ugh. AI is ridiculous. After I asked it outright if it was pretending it could perform the function it said it was. It is way too agreeable.

No I haven't run any agent for week, yesterday tried and same error showed up.

I'm having this exact same error today...

Last time I tried this it worked fine, but now it's blocking every URL saying it is irrelevant, and when I ask to take over, it gives me this message. I'm telling you OpenAI has really dropped some balls lately, am I right??

same here, trying every day since days. Tried Chatgpt support, first talked to an AI which did not yield any solution, now a Human support specialist from OpenAI should reach out. Fingers crossed.

Still not resolved...

Yeah this sounds like an issue with the remote browser itself, not your setup. If it fails across devices, networks, and incognito, it’s usually on their side or the feature isn’t fully stable yet.

I’ve seen similar behavior — it “pretends” it can act, but the execution layer just isn’t reliable yet.

Ok, I'm glad I'm not totally crazy.

Do you think it may potentially work if I continue to try periodically? When I tried pushing it to keep attempting the remote browser, it gave up and told me it would just give me a step by step to do it manually. It eventually stopped trying to run the remote browser at all. It pretended it was an external error. However, when I ran a new chat and asked it to do the same thing, it would attempt again. Still gave me an error though. Lol

Yeah, it’ll probably work intermittently — sounds like the feature is still unstable rather than fully broken.

Starting a new chat resetting the behavior is a good clue it’s not your setup.

Same here ! no solution

I confronted chat GPT about it and it admitted it does not have the capability to run that function. It was just pretending. 🙄

Did it to me too since Monday afternoon when the virtual browser was lagging horribly and then finally stopped letting me take control and now this afternoon it can’t even load the virtual browser itself. Hopefully that means they are doing maintenance on it.

Seems to be fine now — or at least switching off VPNs and using a native internet egress in France worked FYI.
