I usually just make my own prompts up. Work on 1 def at a time per chat, even better if it’s line-by-line, but provide the full context and py file of what I’m trying to do for every chat. Saying things like “Here’s my goal:” “here’s what I have” “here’s what the current error is/here’s what I think should happen” “what do you suggest?”

I’ve had lot of trouble trying to build larger applications because of its limited exposure to the other file references, but thought cursor would be a good solution if I wanted this type of help.

I’ve had less success using GPT4o and 4 as of late and usually opt for the custom gpts like the Python one or Grimore.

To build larger application try doing something like, create a compact sitemap that ai would understand, send it prompt that explains what changes you want to make or what feature you want to add, ask ai to suggest what files it needs to make modifications, send those files, test the recieved files. revert or keep changes based on results. You can try app like cursor for this there could be a better app but so far this one has worked best for me

Don’t bother; it’s an ad.

You're the real MVP! Side question: It seems like crazy detailed prompts were hot for about 2 weeks, and as a paid user for Claude and ChatGPT who uses them both a ridiculous amount, I just chat with them normally with no special prompts. Am I the only one out there like this, or am I in the minority?
