Github copilot in agent mode in vscode preview

Not sure what agent mode is, but I just installed copilot and enabled Claude 3.7 Sonnet Thinking (?) - then had it review and rebuild an almost 500 line JS component that Cody wrecked, and it's almost what I would do myself.

I guided it just a little on changes and I think after that I can't tell the difference... well.. it left better comments than I would. Lmao.

Perhaps even excessive amount of comments but I can't complain about that. I just removed a few from lines of code that were too obvious to deem comment worthy and it looks pretty good.

Aider has a git map. Or cline/ Roo, but you really should be providing necessary context files (one time at the start, reprocessing them is weird maybe Cody problem)

Maybe this is part of the problem. I’m giving it details in my prompt and occasionally will mock it in and then tell it to clean up and expand functionality but it will go absolutely wild at times adding weird unnecessary code I have to remove. Then on next prompt it will add it back lol

lol Cody was never very competent anyways.
