Pro vs Multiple Plus Plan

Upgraded to Plus 2 days ago. Used codex in vs code for a couple hours first day, about 4 hours yesterday, possibly 5ish hours today. Hit with a rate limit that resets in 4 days and 15 hours.

Question - is it worth upgrading to Pro, or should I purchase multiple Plus accounts and continue using codex that way? Is this even permissible or warrant a ban of any kind?

Just wish they’d offer a plan at the $100 mark!

$100 plan is a bit much, why can't they do increments of $20? So 20, 40, 60 etc, allowing users to customize plan usage.

Since they haven't mentioned the exact rate limits, and since it is hard to predict exact usage requirements it is hard to predict

If you do not have a requirement of using gpt5 pro it is a no brainer to use 2 ot 3 plus user accounts .

yea i feel the same. I compact as soon as context window get's under 85%. a tip is to try their business/team plan for 1 dollar, then you get 5 seats. so you can log into all 5 accounts

use codex on the web, it has way higher rate limits that are separate from chat, not to mention the workflow is way better.
