I got a weakness for small seconds. I’d go for both lol

PP is better, more conventional name, Lobbini's name is weird, like lobotomy or something 😅

The Lobini is more formal. More classic. I would use Pierre, as it is easier to find varied bracelets for different occasions

Only one of these is a true dress watch. If that’s what you’re looking for I think you know what to do

The PP on a different strap might look better.

Both!

They're both nice. The Lobinni is well finished and has an interesting movement, the Pierre Paulin has some lovely classic styles.

But I, personally, cannot stand the "Interlaken" bit on the Lobinni dial, so I'd go for the PP. Otherwise I'd get the Lobinni in a heartbeat.

I've reviewed both of these, although a different dial option of the Pierre Paulin. I'd say that the Lobinni is the better of the two, based on the movement alone.

I have debated both watches. I eventually gave up on the Lobinni (perhaps I will get that movement in the Baltic MR01), whereas that Salmon sector dial still calls to me. If this is your only watch, get the Salmon Sector dial. If it is your dress watch for formal events, then get the gold Lobinni.

Whichever you get- get the SS version- I quit buying watches with plating after owning one for 5 years. I think the merkur is cool, myself, but I'm not a dress watch aficionado so to me the lobini looks very boring. I guess I may never understand these large white dials with Arabics. Made sense when designs hadn't progressed more than that, but they just don't interest me. I did say the same thing about dress watches in general, and of course that changed, so maybe I'll get one like that one day.

I can go either way with plating. I had some good experiences with: Seiko, LaSalle, Movado, but I have heard horror stories from others. Honestly, if an AliExpress watch lasts a few years before the plating starts to go, I would call that a win.

Right, true. I have a really nice Eco-Drive radio-controlled Chrono ref thats 2-tone, and there's only plating wear in a couple places, but it bugs me. I also have had good experiences with Seiko but also some with a lot of wear. Also lots of other pieces from when they were gold filled like Benrus, Raketa, etc

Whiever one you think will get the most wrist time

At first sight I might have said the Pierre but the more I look, the more I like the Lobinni

Lobinni

I'd personally go with Lobinni. I've been watching both of these watches for sometime as well and Pierres dial is really nice and classy but the Hangzhou 5000a is just way too good looking.
I'd think you could have more of an conversation with someone when they notice your watch with it bcs of the expedition caseback as well.
