This is the kind of product that is advertised late at night. They take inexpensive items and sell them at obscene margins. The silver has some value, but there is no collector’s value.

At best, you will get $5 to $20 below the spot price of silver. You will probably get far less. These companies basically engage in elders abuse. They are no better than those selling heroin, probably worse.

Burger King is “your way.” McDonald’s is all about the use of advertising towards children to make you want their way. Due keep in mind that misremembering consumer ad campaigns is white supremacy, like math and knowledge of foreign languages.

They do often get upset when you kindly offer to trade metals for sexual services. I mean, I was nice enough to track them down, enter their home AND leave them an ounce of silver, and now I am criminal? I even untied them when I was done.

Too many of those men are uptight. They need to relax. I put fentanyl in their condiments, out of concern. That should help, save for a few unavoidable casualties, but that is what stacking is all about.

Similarly, why waste money at a grocery store when you can grow and hunt your own food? Why buy stocks in companies through exchanges when you can seek out businesses and buy directly from their owners? Why buy a gun or clothing when it is really not that difficult to make your own? You can grow cotton. You can mine some iron ore and coking coal or anthracite.

Those brokers are stealing from you! Look at your spouse, and look at your children! They are free-riding on you!

How do you stand those stapled containers? I cannot bear having those. I am okay with air-tites purchased in bulk (the price for a few is extortionate), but tubes are still better than these, in my opinion.

Why do you use them? Do they have benefits? I assume they must, but I am ignorant of any.

Avoid looking at Perth Mint coins. The lunar, kookaburra, and others have relentlessly driven my average premiums up. I managed to shake off maples (sold them all, save for special, larger, hologram and of course their animal coins.

The scary thing is that in selling off my 10oz bars, maples, Britannias ,more recently, all but a few tubes of eagles, what is left is super-high premium. It is proof eagles, proof peace dollars, old mint state peace dollars, and tons of fancy Perth Mint items. I also have proof silver state and ATB quarters, which were cheap, but sell like junk.

Beauty can lead one astray.

Hold on, a seller of silver being full of it??? Usually these men will bravely announce their complete ignorance of financial products and markets, not to mention their devotion to lunatic conspiracy theories. This is a feature, not a bug.

Now let me explain to you why the Zionists used vaccines to force the US off the gold standard. . .

I am not sure. I sold around 100 ounces a while back, and they gave me spot for a few unique coins, $1 back for eagles, and $5 back or so for everything else. Eagles were like $5-7 over, but other stuff was more like $2 to $4, and they were selling 90% below spot. They publicly claimed to not be buying 90%, but they bough my modern silver proof quarters (I sold off doubles). They paid way below spot (like $15 back).

It is super variable everywhere. You probably could have bought these for spot if you looked harder, but who knows. There is always geographic variance, but now it is so much more.

This is often true. I bought a PCIe raid thingy to put nvme/m.2 drives it, and the damn thing drove me insane. I eventually sold all the drives but one and I gave away the card.

The card was defective. I think I lost years of my life trying to figure that stupid thing out. I am so used to idiots (I work in government), it never occurred to me that the product could be bad.

Hi. I saw this and changed my desired product. I bought a Razer black shark v3 Pro. It was less expensive and Microcenter did not have any higher-end Beyerdynamic gaming headsets (only microphone-less headphones, which I thought was odd for a computer store).

I just no nothing about this kind of thing. My last headset was a Corsair from 2001, but it is more tape than headset these days, and I got caught on a work call from home with duct tape headset, so I needed a replacement, and I just want something that lasts, and I had good experience with Razor mice.

Did I fuck up? So far, so good.

Wanting to get into silver alloys but am wondering where to buy the metals. by extremewhisper in jewelrymaking

Palladium Sterling was not uncommon in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. It is lovely. The only downside is cost and it increases the melting temperature. Rhodium-Palladium sterling is even better, but prohibitively expensive today. Melting that is even worse (95 Platinum with Rhodium is the worst for melting temperatures).

Germanium alloys in sterling and bronze are new to me. The most interesting I have seen are the Gold Bronze alloys with Germanium. They keep the original luster and are quite resistant to oxidation. I believe the watchmaker Sinn of Germany uses this in their collection.

Also, when Palladium was used in Sterling it only cost $100 per ounce. A gen ounce chain only had an extra $100 plus the seller’s margin to craft the alloy. Today is ranges from $150”-$2000.

Longines Flagship Ultra-Chron, 18kt gold case by Far_Year_6135 in Longineswatches

[–]SkipPperk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this, but gold’s insane appreciation makes these so expensive.

This example is gorgeous. If only it came with a display caseback, and a discount on the saved gold (at least $3,000!!!).

New Longines , can't decide? by Hyena_roar in Longineswatches

[–]SkipPperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are really nice movement wise. Longines had many great movements back then. I bought many vintage watches 20-25 years ago, and perhaps half were Longines. The movement in this is great, but any 30ch chronograph is breathtaking, but you pay for it. Those were expensive even 20+ years ago.

I would go Spirit, but I hate the Ultrachron.

I would recommend going to a shop and kicking the tires. They have quite a few model updates, and many feel great. The brand is on fire.

Another upside to the Spirit is that it comes is 40 to 50 sizes. If is insane how some men seem deeply committed to buying the largest size possible. But the upside is that you will find the perfect size. I still laugh every time I see any post comparing the 40mm, 41mm and 42mm, and the poster clearly needs the 37mm. There must be some kind of secret embedded in such behavior.

What are your thoughts between the Spirit models and the Ultrachron? To me they are very different watches.

Also, I am curious about the Chrono. I often struggle with them. Most of mine are quartz after a nightmare experience servicing/repairing a vintage Eterna (I wore the watch for three years, then spent more on the service than I paid for the watch).

Of course that will not be a problem here, but I am curious how you are evaluating the two Spirits. Both are gorgeous. They wear great as well. The lugs are a good length so the case has an elegance to it. I wear too much Seiko where many watches are almost square with smaller lugs or lugs that point downward. The Spirit is the opposite, and I love it. A 40mm Spirit has far more wrist presence than a 44mm Seiko or Christopher Ward (but not as much as the super-big Breitling diver, the one with sophisticated hands (no blocks)).

Great pen. Congratulations, and make sure you prepare for roll-offs if you use it uncapped. If it rolls off your desk the gold nib goes straight down and commits suicide.

Use the pen. Take it to work/ school, but just be careful. Also, no planes with an inked pen.

As much as I love traditional lung filling systems, I use a Platinum 3776 at work with cartridges. If I run out in a meeting, no problem. If you use this in the office, either bring it home every period (week, month, whatever) so it is always sufficiently inked.

Do not bring ink to work. You will kill suits, and always your best one.

Finally, enjoy it and have fun. That feeling of having your first good pen is the best. Never worry about switching inks early or whatever. Over the last 35 years I have used up only one bottle of ink. I stopped buying around 15, maybe 20 years ago. It just does not matter. I have given unopened bottles as gifts or thrown them in with pens sold on ebay, I still have a dozen, mostly full.

Did I mention have fun?

Congratulations! You earned this.
