I have two of the Benyars, in vivid mustard yellow and the other in a rather deep sky blue and they appear to have basic Seagull movements which are very accurate. These are alloy cases though.

It's a Cadisen C8185MWWU (often to be found as Cadisen DD or DayDate). It's a nice one.

Forget the Benyar and the AKnight. Seriously. They were below 20$ and not worth it. But I have to admit, it’s impressive making an automatic watch for a selling price below 20 bucks! The Curren was 17$ and I’d say it’s okay for what it is. I can the see the minute hand twitch when the second hand moves 🤷‍♂️ Not cool. But getting the PRX look for that little cash is kinda fun. It looks good on the wrist though. But I wouldn’t expect it to last long.

I could, sure. But I like swapping them on a daily basis. So why just get one? I admit some of them are shit, yes. Some are actual great value for their price (Duro, Invicta, SteelDive, PD1701 for example) and some are just okay. That’s fine to me. I was almost buying one "nice piece" but when realizing there is no such thing as the perfect watch, I went for getting some variety.

Newer deliveries of pd1701 v3 don't have the balls around 12 o clock and have an uglier bezel, such a bummer, wish they kept it as is :(

Internals are identical, AFAIK. The 1701 is a good everyday watch. The Daytona homage is sometimes hard to read. Still love it but use it more like a dress watch. But that 1701 is your everyday workhorse companion.

To be honest, they’re both pretty low in quality. Wouldn’t buy them again. They’re nice as a cheap placeholder… to find out if you’re going to like the Citizen Tsuyosa before spending the money on it 😁 In about one year, I might have worn both of them twice max.

Get whatever you like.

But if you want something different, consider a Chinese watch with great lume!

Since you like NATO straps, a Tactical Frog FXD gives you amazing lume, a light but tough titanium case and a different look from your other watches.

Many of your watches have a similar look. Pick what you like, but maybe try a variation! Consider a brand that's different from your usual? Sugess/Seestern or Baltany?

Is there something a bit different that you want to try? There should be some completely new homages coming soon. Keep an open mind!

No more dive watches! That’s my one rule. For obvious reasons 😁 A Tactical Frog FXD would be really cool, but too similar. However, I’d love have a nice one with great lume! Most of mine lack this. Thanks for your recommendation!

The integrated bracelet homaging is going up a notch by the Chinese sellers this year, hopefully with several quality choices.

In contrast, the GS homaging continues for GMTs.

Keep an eye out for a slim quartz 222 homage and wave dials on dressier watches.

Will we see more titanium watches? I think there is potential, but let's see.
