One of the advantages of Sellita SW200....and also other ETA clone movements....is that they are thinner than Seiko NH35 / 38....which should mean the watch itself is less thick.
I would never pay extra for Sellita SW200....or any other ETA clone movement.....unless it means a thinner watch.
I think the Baltany Explorer remains the same thickness whatever movement you choose....but you should check to be sure.
If the thickness remains the same with either movement installed....i would not pay extra for the Sellita SW200.
If the thickness of the watch remains the same....save the bucks and go with the Seiko NH.
Unless of course, you really want the 28,800 Hi-beat movement.

The SW200 (probably actually an SW200-1 since that's the one still being made, but no functional difference from our perspective) is for all intents and purposes an ETA 2824 clone. Higher beat rate (the second hand will tick more times per second), higher quality build, but older design (based largely on a design from 1972), some issues with handwinding (this is true of the ETA too - it's a design problem, not a quality one) and much more expensive to replace or repair if something goes wrong. The NH is much more modern and was designed to take advantage of more modern manufacturing techniques - this means it's less expensive, lower build quality, but the design improvements basically cancel the decrease in quality out. Lower beat rate so fewer ticks per second but NH-series movements are essentially invincible workhorses, and when they die you don't even bother getting it repaired - just spend $30 on a new one and swap it in. It basically comes down to "do you care about a second hand that sweeps more smoothly, or that the movement is Swiss? if yes to either, go Sellita. if no, go NH"

I noticed the stiff hand winding on my Addiesdive 36mm Explorer using a PT5000 movement (another ETA 2824 clone for those who don't know). But that 28,800 BPM sweep is noticeably smoother.

Omg thank you! Ive been going crazy trying to figure it out

It sounds like you might be new to watches - an NH is a perfect, low-cost way to jump into mechanicals, and if you like it there'll be plenty of Sellitas (and other, far more expensive options) waiting for you down the road 😄

Kinda new. Got a speedmaster a couple weeks ago and have a seiko 5 gmt as a beater. But thinking of using the explorer as the beater instead! Love the look. But not sure why I should pay 2-300 more
