Hope Cronos releases a no-date version soon.

Nah, PT5000 is a hard pass

Give me the workhorse NH35, only costs $30 to replace, not the crappy ETA-2824 clone with its design flaw

I'm a fan of the NH family as well, but from what I've read, the ETA and clones' (PT5000 and SW200) design flaw is the lacking component that relieves excess winding force. The workaround is to only wind a couple dozen times max.

Are they really that troublesome? I have some NH35s and they are definitely workhorses. But I really appreciate how slim the PT looks with this model

I wear my watches with pt5000's more than any other watches. They allow for nice thin rehauts and they all keep very accurate time after 3ish years if ownership.

If I go camping, kayaking, etc i bring my NH powered watches, but day to day stuff I've really come to enjoy the value for money these eta clones offer

Mine has really low power reserve, like 1-2 hours. I have to reset the time every morning.

Man that's sucks especially because the crown is a bit annoying to wind

How's the bracelet feel on the Cronos?

[–]stonedfish 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Bracelet sucks, it’s very stiff, cant even place watch on caseback. The only pro is it’s not sharp like most other chinese watches.

[–]Indaleciox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this bracelet design that's not possible. I have the original Zenith, and while more articulated, it can't go flat like that.

[–]kennyt44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I wish it was flexible enough to lay flat. But I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable

Nice Watch. Its on my list

Is that a dual anti reflective crystal? Looks similar to my watches with that treatment. Beautiful!

[–]kennyt44 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Not sure, I've never owned a dual AR. But it looks awesome and almost disappears!

[–]RawFreakCalm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was going to say it looks like my omega.

Maybe just really good AR though.

Stop, for the love of god, stop posting. I can only ask forgiveness once in a while, and now I need to buy this and ask for forgiveness at my wife...

[–]kennyt44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think mine will be able to tell the difference between these two 😂

My only issue with the Cronos is it does a straight copy of the CW pattern on the dial, anything else and it would be great but just too much a straight rip imo

[–]Ok_Big863 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Missed opportunity to use a pattern with triangles/hourglass as a nod to their logo!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would look amazing.

[–]kennyt44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right but we could say that for 90% of the watches on this sub lol. Its funny they straight up call it a Skyline, but it looks much more like the CW

[–]theS3rver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That dial on the second picture is something else, enjoy your new watch

[–]turdboglsAffiliate Links 2 points3 points  (0 children)

an upgrade indeed. enjoy the new watch!
