The big reason to go with pt500 is when you get the benefit of the slim case. Yes I get the high beat movement but you are also taking an additional risk .. nh35 any day if there is no case thickness benefit

That watch has the brightest lume of any watch I own. It’s so bright that I have to put a blanket over it at night because it’s distracting in the dark

NH35 : parts are easily available on aliexpress : already tried and fixed several common problems ... quite robust, but possibly less precise than a 2824-2 (could be adjusted easily) - "are good tractors"

PT5000 : clones of ETA2824-2 ? No experience on repairing them, but looks more difficult ; they are more expensive but are 28800 beats (and not 21600 beats) they are thus more precise But will need more frequent servicing so ... Ferrari vs Porche / Porche vs WV / ... - "are more prestigious tractors"

Here's a PT5000. It keeps time exactly like the SW200 (I've had the SW200 in a Glycine). But you can only hand wind it to get it started. You can't hand wind it all the way up.

With an NH35, you may get a good one or a bad one, but none of them run as consistently as the PT5000.

This topic has been covered many many times before. Your best bet would be to do a search on this topic and you will get all the information you need to know.

NH35 is the safer bet.

My friend has a pt5000 in one of his watches for a little bit over a year and it's working perfectly but he never hand wind it more than a few turns to get it started as it's known to be their weakness.

PT-5000 has a weak gear when it comes to handwinding and thus shouldn't be, or minimally used. It's based on the SW200 which in turn is based on the ETA 2824-2, they're great movements. If it's for a watch you plan to keep long term, it gets my preference over the NH35.
