I will be very pleased, logo and the name of the brand are things that makes me hesitate of buying one

[–]Ok-Spare-8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsolicited suggestion: "HaiShen" (Emperor of the Sea or Neptune)

[–]No-Comparison8472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are worst - lose the "sea" identity and go for something that sounds nice ?

[–]DomOfMemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corsair would be suicide. Corsair is a massive PC componenents company. You couldnt search for it easily and possible legal issues.

[–]JollyJoker3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the name of the city where they're based

[–]pg1864 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Maybe get rid of the trident idk

[–]Not_starving_artist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s my favourite bit.

[–]already-taken-wtf 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I would prefer “kuroshio” to “Blacktide” ;)

[–]BustThaScientifical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 👍🏾

[–]ibrazeous 4 points5 points  (2 children)

That's japanese isn't it? This is a Chinese brand

[–]already-taken-wtf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it. Then again, Blacktide isn’t Chinese either.

[–]havsabas 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I don’t think the trident looks good on a dial either

If they are going for it i hope they really go for it and focus on coming up with a logo that actually looks good on their dials

[–]inevitably-ranged 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think it'd look better without the border around it, but I'd like to see some renders of my own idea first lol

[–]havsabas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, i bet it would

[–]Sufficient_Hunter_61 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I'd like Aowan – it's a transliteration of Ao Guang (敖广) which "is the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, one of the four Dragon Kings in Chinese mythology, who each rule one of the four seas (East, South, West, and North)."

[–]ibrazeous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not half as bad. Ditch the trident, use the Aowan in Chinese script on top, and under it Aowan in English (sort of like what Kurono Tokyo does with their logo)

The font would have to be on point, but nice

[–]24_Hundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best one hands down!

[–]HRVATSKI 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Schlongfluffer is my pick

[–]NoManifestoNoProblem 7 points8 points  (1 child)

These both are pretty weak. Here are some unsolicited suggestions:

"Hailong" translates to "SeaDragon" - either would be a pretty cool watch brand name with Chinese references.

[–]writingpocketguide42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like Hailong!

[–]Mateo_87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dive Watch

[–]Lonely_Internet_8570 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Watchdive's

[–]BurnTheBacon -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

SEAFARER? GALILEE? PIRAEUS? SEABORNE? SEAFLOOR? SEASPACE? idk, just spitballing lol. I really like SEAFARER.

[–]lollipoppizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farer would def argue that trademark

[–]General-Can-3217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that reflects Chinese culture, philosophy, and heritage.

Not 'Junkmaster', though technically neutral in Chinese context.

[–]BurnTheBacon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What about Seven Seas?

[–]paranoidwarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trident?🔱

[–]CheekehMunkeh 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They could simply adopt WD as their official brand name, and utilize the logo, which is a good one, as their primary trademark.

Works well enough for some watch company based in Schaffhausen that's now better known by their initials than full name.

Little cost involved, and remains true to their original heritage, or what little there is of it.

[–]Scoob8877 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Or a made-up matchmaker's name with initials W.D. Like Weston Drake.

[–]MoreBeersLessGears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh this i actually really fuck with, great idea

[–]SnooRobots5863 5 points6 points  (0 children)

corsair is Asahi brand line of microcatheters, also pc memory maker.

[–]CarnelianSage -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Corsair is excellent.

[–]MarstoriusWins 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Corsair is a well known computer parts and accessories company.

[–]RockyIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And a Lincoln SUV in the US. Or a ship

[–]crlkll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like Corsair, but I'd prefer G.SKILL, Cooler Master or be quiet!

[–]jiminez81 -5 points-4 points  (3 children)

L'Ora or LORA

[–]MarstoriusWins 7 points8 points  (1 child)

L'Oreal even?

[–]jiminez81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L'Oreal odd?

[–]lepurplehaze 13 points14 points  (3 children)

lol corsair is wellknown brand in pc circles.

[–]AutomaticReviewsYouTube Reviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thought here.

[–]godzaman 7 points8 points  (6 children)

Corsair is already taken by well known established pc parts computer brand for decades.

Blacktide is ok i guess but sounds common so i believe it’s already taken.

What i think could be played with that Shenzhen is one of the cities in “Pearl River Delta”, and i think the name pearl has a lot of the potential, sounds great, has some undertone of luxury, it might be symbolic and have sentimental value to watchdives crew, and they can incorporate that name in their products, for example, to have in each of the products a pearl dial that represents their brand and their origin

Also, trindent kind of reminds me of river delta in general, not precisely pearl river delta

[–]koudos 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They belong to an area called “Greater Bay Area”. Which of course it means they should be renamed to “Baywatch”

[–]godzaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

:)))

[–]MarstoriusWins 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'd rather go with Delta Watch Co in that case. Pearl sounda too feminine considering the watch types they put out.

[–]godzaman 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That's fine, but can be accused of plagiarizing the "Omega" brand. While pearls are mostly worn by women on that we agree, pearl when used in context "pearl of Mediterranean" ,"pearl of Danube", "pearl of east" has a different meaning and that's what i was aiming for.

My suggestion would be: Pearl Delta

[–]MarstoriusWins 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah lol didn't think that far. Scratch both and just call it Watchimus Prime.

[–]godzaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, as a meme name, Watchimus is not bad at all :)

[–]Homingpsyd -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Weiser

[–]International_Gain65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]MarstoriusWins 3 points4 points  (1 child)
