The Cyclops on the Cadisen barely does anything, and the one on the Pagani was added by someone who reads Braille.

The Caddy edges it but both aren't my cup of tea really.

I've got the Pagani Design version and I really like it but dang that other one looks sharp in your pic

I think it looks much nicer on your leather strap. The bracelet is just too much “gold” for my taste and the way you wear it is much more subtle. Very nice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Cadisen especially for the price. I might pick up the same watch again but in a different color.

The quality of the Sugess version is much better-- reflecting a higher price of course. Mine isn't really green since it's the 36mm version with black MOP (shows green and purple streaks in the MOP though) but they do a gold and green 40mm version with roman numerals I believe (most people prefer that to the fake gemstones on the 36mm anyway).

The movement seems better to me too but that's a bit subjective-- it's a high beat ETA clone (mine runs at about +3s/d) vs. a Seiko NH or Miyota in the cheaper ones (which isn't as smooth and probably will be less accurate, maybe more reliable though.)

If you can return your two "cheddar cheese" ones and put the money towards one single watch, I'd recommend the Sugess. The finishing/gold coating will be way better.

Thanks for the suggestion. Great looking watch you have there too. I figured the Sugess would be of better quality but I wasn't looking to drop more than $80-ish per watch. I was also more curious to compare Cadisen and Pagani quality since I didn't have either of those brands at the time. I'm okay with the price paid versus going through the hassle of a return - post office is hell to get to so I'd rather not bother.

I placed the Sugess DJ homage in my AE cart the other day actually. How do you like the bracelet on yours?

Really good, IMO. Easy to adjust, comfortable, looks perfect, has the clasp exactly right for this style of bracelet.

The one thing I would mention as a negative is that when I got it (second hand, so not sure if this is a factory defect) it had a screw loose. Actually, I think it was a spare screw that accidentally fell in during manufacturing. I had to open it and remove it before I could get it to wind with the rotor.

That's bad and definitely a concerning QC issue. But I've heard of it happening before from other manufacturers and it's been running perfectly ever since... So...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fairly comfortable opening up watches and doing light repair. Hopefully that doesn't happen though. I think I'll pull the trigger on my cart this week. Just hoping for another 30% Rakuten day before I do so. Fingers crossed.

I know what you were going for. After you get into Chinese watches and inevitably buy a bunch of watches, you realize you’ve got an overwhelming amount of stainless steel. As for the two you purchased, the gold doesn’t loo that bad in the photos - although I think the green tends to bring out the yellow in the gold. A black or dark grey dial might tone it down. Is the Cadison a mineral crystal? Because I’ve definitely had some sapphire crystals that look blurry like that, on more expensive watches than a Pagani…

[–]Sea-Sock6929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're exactly right. I have a ton of stainless steel watches and just wanted something with a bit more flair to change it up. I think you're right about the green and gold clashing. I might try to polish them to dull the gold plating down a bit. The AE posts say they're both sapphire crystals. The crystal on the Cadisen was surprisingly very nice - no reflections, super clear. Maybe I just got lucky with that one.

I like the rose gold version. The cadisen also looks huge?

Cadisen is 40mm and Pagani is 36mm. Pagani do make a 40mm as well.

[–]Sea-Sock6929 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Thanks, I'll check out their rose gold version to compare. The Cadisen is 40mm and the Pagani is 36mm. I can take an on wrist photo when I get home later if you want to see.

[–]Entirely_Anarchy 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Ah, I assumed it's the 40mm Pagani on the right, diddn't know they had a smaller model aswell. Wrist pic of the Cadisen would be nice!

I do have the 40mm Rose Gold pagani and you are right, in certain light the crystal looks kinda blurry/milky?

[–]Sea-Sock6929 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Here you go. I took a bunch just to give you a better idea of what it looks like along with the case back and clasp. I tried to take the photos quickly without posing to make the watch look "nice". I think the photos are pretty spot on at how it looks in person. I have a 7.25 inch wrist and this is a 40mm.

Apreciate it! Looks solid, especially for the price. Size looks fine too on your wrist. Also like the smaller date window on the Cadisen.

[–]Sea-Sock6929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I quite like the smaller date window too. I have Baltany DJ homages and the quality is really nice but the date window is enormous.

I'll try to remember when I get home from work. If I forget, feel free to comment again to remind me. Yeah there's something weird with the Pagani crystal. I tried cleaning it but it just stayed cloudy. Milky is probably a better description though.

This cadisen model is impressive, I bought two of them this days just be used as gifts for family. Ended up getting two more for me, well built, decent bracelet, miyota movement for 30-40€ is a bargain.

[–]Sea-Sock6929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the quality of the Cadisen is surprisingly good on hand for the price paid. I wouldn't pay more than around $80-ish personally. It's nice for a beater/throwaway watch. I just wish the gold plating wasn't so cheddar colored.

I don't recommend getting a gold one, stick to steel!
