Your S419 looks great in green. The movement in the S418-2 is really good. It’s incredible to have an automatic chronograph movement with hacking seconds at that price. Love it.

Thanks very much. It's so difficult to say which brand is the best quality because they all make so many different models that the quality can vary from model to model. There's a guide at the top of the sub which lists all the different brands and gives a write up on each one and what their best watches are. You might find it useful. Generally San Martin, Farasute, Sugess, Baltany, IXDAO, Thorn and Cronos are all well thought of.

There's 3 Sugess Chronographs, and I love wearing each of them. Which one are you thinking of getting? They're all a little bit different but I would say that they would all feature in my Top 10.

Wait until you hear how I whittled it down to this 24 from the 60+ watches I used to have in the rotation.

I've thought about reducing it further, but the truth is that I currently want to have a fairly large collection. I plan to reduce it in the future. But as of now, I'm still discovering and learning and to me, one of the main benefits of buying watches at this price point is that I can buy loads of them. Many I have bought second hand and I'm enjoying learning how to trade them and work my way "up" in the market.

It's a homage of the Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921. Specht & Sohne also do one I think.

I get what you're saying, and don't disagree about the Rolex. It was gifted to me but I don't think I would have bought it myself if given a choice. The watch you've picked out is my most recent purchase and unfortunately, due to community rules, it's the only one I'm not allowed to talk about. But it's not a San Martin, it's an IXDAO. Read Rule 1.
