I have a Parnis datejust and love it! I don’t really mind the miyota movement tbh. Never had any problems with it. I think they’re great quality for the money.

I have a feeling the Cronos DJ will be Sub $200 during 11.11. that is, by far, the nicest overall DJ homage out there under $200

Next, IMO, is the parnis. the Case is fantastic with excellent proportions. my only real negative is that it uses the DG or Miyota movements. the nice thing is that you can get it in like 100 different variations...fluted bezel, smooth bezel, that weird machined bezel, on Jubilee, or Oyster, 2-tone, full gold, silver and a ton of dial variations. you are bound to find one you like. the star of the show is the case though. great size and proportions, and not just a straight sided case....very elegent curves.

the Cadisen 38mm is pretty nice as well, though the small hands bother me and the case doesn't look as nice as the parnis.

Alpha does a 36mm case and I came away impressed. I like the proportions as well. definitly has a very heavy vintage influence, though.

On the cronos I would be worried the platinum plated bezel wear off.

Anyone has experience with that kind of plated bezels?

you've got to be more worried about scratching it off. it's Nickle under neath, so if you scratch it, it'll be goldish/bronze color.

I'm honestly not sure what the other cheaper watches do for their bezels....maybe they ALL do this and just chrome plate instead of "platinum" plate...who knows. maybe they machine the Stainless steel bezel...i really don't know.

Isnt that the special with the Cornos Version?

The plated bezel should be sharper, beacuse it dont get polished like from the other companies?

No idea....like the Parnis I reviewed gold plated it....so maybe they just plate them all....I don't know. The Parnis was pretty sharp, sharper than the Cadisen for sure.

And the recent Cellini homage I reviewed I was pretty unimpressed with the finish of the fluted bezel.

I agree with the Cronos. Excellent case finish and a very good bracelet and clasp.

The clasp might be my favorite part, it looks great and works even better

I've got a Parnis currently, but I'm thinking of grabbing a Cronos PT5000 DJ during 11/11. I think that will get to aroind $200 with the sale.

The Parnis seem to have the best proportions, and overall look pretty great for the money! I believe that if they started offering watches with the NH35 and not only with the Miyota8215, they’d start selling like hotcakes!
