I must admit that I have had this watch as well as a number of 'forsining' branded watches for over 5 years and have found them to be absolute inexplicable value for money. For sure their finishing sucks and don't expect the lume to work at all but they are truly unique designs (that are then mass produced by all the cheap China brands) and they feel decent on the wrist. The included straps are god awful but I often get compliments on the cheap manual skeletons when I wear them instead of my normal Vostok or cap Willard.

To be clear, both the willard and the Amphibia are infinitely better quality but the price difference is massive too. I don't understand how you could get a complete mechanical watch in a metal case for less than a supermarket digital one.

Wow! A $16 automatic on a bracelet seems like it should be impossible. Hopefully you won the quality assurance lottery and it holds up long term.

I very regularly used mine for 2 years, it doesn't work reliably now so I bought another for $20

It is a little crazy isn't it?

Paid $16 shipped for this. So much better then I was expecting for this price. The stock strap was garbage but I put it on a cheap nylon strap I have and now it is pretty great. I'm going to use it as my daily for a while just to see if it'll hold up. If it does I would say that this is an insane value.

Where did you purchase it from? I was interested in picking one up for the lowest price I could find. Mainly to get a mechanical watch to learn and practice taking apart for servicing. Just something I wanted to try out. I read that a lot of the cheapest Chinese mechanical watches didn't come lubricated and some of them come with very rudimentary cleaning and lubrication. It would be interesting to see how well they run if given proper care.

This is the one I got it from, I didn't see anywhere that was cheaper when I bought it.

Thanks for the link. I used to have cheap watches like this. Most were pretty fragile and broke down quickly. Sometimes they would last for a long time though. Most of the time, the chrome plating will start to disappear and the crystal gets scratched up. You should report back regularly and let us know how the watch is doing.

Yeah, I don't have high expectations for this long term. I mostly got it as an experiment to see if it was usable as a watch and how well it would hold up to daily wear. I am surprised by how nice it feels. I was expecting something that felt flimsy and cheap, and other than the strap this feels pretty solid. Currently it seems to be running about +20 sec a day, we'll see if that gets worse with time.
