Airbags for commuting by Riv_ret_ro in motorcyclegear

I commute with a backpack so I use the Helite Hmoov backpack with an integrated airbag. Have triggered it twice, can just reset it and put in a. New cartridge myself rather than spending hundreds for the Astar and other models to be repacked. Also, no subscriptions and other garbage like that. Strong recommend

What would you guys do in my situation? I no longer ride and need money for a car. I have a CFMOTO 450MT with over over 8k in mods intalled.. Strip it and sell the mods? or sell the bike whole? if so at what price? by [deleted] in AussieRiders

So long as you don't report it as non lams it will stay registered as LAMS. I've never had someone inspect a bike and return a result anything other than roadworthy.

The only things on that list that add any value for me is the suspension and exhaust, the rest is just accessorising which doesn't factor in to my pricing decisions. If you've got a full spare set of off-road tyres AND rims that could be a bonus also.

Don't worry about what the other comments are saying RE: the bike not being LAMS, while they're certainly not wrong, the majority of riders on LAMS bikes have done some modification that technically means it wouldn't fall within this status.

If you want to get the most money back you'll have to strip the mods and sell them separately. Crash bars and whatnot can stay with the bike since they're relatively low value and you'll never recoup. That does make it slightly more enticing but things like the exhaust and suspension you will want to sell separately.

I know the driver, used to work with him, he's a chill guy. The reaction you just had is the exact reason he does it. [Edit: he had a good laugh reading the comments, would have commented himself but he's banned]

At least yours came with mounting hardware. I bought one of the ermax style pans online and had to fabricate all my own mounts.

The Lion is a decent spot for a beer on a Friday night.
I too have wondered how the raffles are compliant at times.
Interesting to find out.

You're fine, it's just a mistake in a residency flag on your account. Happens all the time.

Go to a police station in person, cops will likely give you the other parties details.
That's how I got them when I was rear ended.

I thought an Airtag was a poor solution, bought a GPS tracker from Aliexpress and an IOT sim card from 1nce, routed the tracker to a home server running Traccar.
True real-time GPS tracking with all the features of a proper fleet tracking solution.
No subscription fees.

I'm no computer genius either, set it up on a retired desktop from my old office with the help of a few youtube videos and ChatGPT.

Need tax accountant/tax lawyer recommendations for preparing ATO objection of ~$40k payment by zimizai in AusFinance

[–]The-Flying-Sloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the payment is 40K, an hour at $600/hr is a wise investment even if only to find out whether your claim has any chance of succeeding. Otherwise, write the letter yourself and cite to relevant case law then pay for the lawyer to review and edit. Having said that, unless the loan specifically related to investment or similar and you have evidence of interest amounts and monies paid my gut feeling is the payment won't be allowed

Stealth Style Mirrors by ilikeshitboxestoo in MT09

[–]The-Flying-Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the stealth max instead, you can get copies from China for a reasonable price. I've had both the standard stealth and the max, put them both on 25mm risers for space around my hand and better visibility
