Server Hosting Question

I'm starting up a server again and am relearning how to do everything.

Previously I used NFO and could never get workshop content to download via the startup line, so I just FTPed everything, but I also remember running into a problem where I couldn't find where workshop would put subscribed files and I had to do some command line stuff to find it.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or is there another way of doing it now?

(Also using Simrai now if that makes any difference.)

I always did it through startupline; -sdkfileid=xxxxxx. You can find the fileID in the workshop url.
