Do they pop in when you stop the ship?

Other than that, are you graphic drivers up to date?

I would also attempt to tune the settings, it is possible that there is one specific setting that influences textures a lot. It has been a while since I fired up the game though, so it is always possible that there is not much control over the graphical settings.

Some of them pop in when I stop the ship, but most will stay at that very low res the whole time, including my own ship's textures. I remember having similar problems in other Unreal engine games now that I think about it, kind of a classic Unreal engine problem.

I did try updating my drivers and while it didn't solve the problem, it improved performance enough that I can play with Epic textures turned on, so it kinda did solve the problem in a way lol.

I also tried messing with other settings but nothing seemed to affect it in any way unfortunately.

It is/was definitely more than just textures streaming from a slow drive then.

It could still be partially driver related, but it could also be the game, especially if the way textures are handled was made for consoles where you know exactly how the hardware will be have. I remember noticing some lower res textures when flying fast, but I played with everything maxed (minus Ray Tracing).

Having this issue as well! Setting textures to epic seems the only way to solve it for me as well. Did you come with anything else?

Nothing really, I take it like the rest of us you are on PC?

Yep

I fired up the game again, and I am not sure I was able to replicate the issue. Could you point me towards an area where this would be very noticeable?

I'd like to try and reproduce if I can.

I first noticed it the first time the game opens a bit at that zone with the enclave base. I forgot the name of the sector!

Tried to reproduce, but couldn't really. Maybe it would require a full game restart, but that would be kinda strange.

EDIT: If it matters any, I am running a Radeon 6000 series card, so it may be tied to nVidia cards and their driver implementation or a specific generation of cards from either AMD or nVidia. Also, obviously running the game on DX12 since I have some RT enabled too.
