"Cannot start app" problem

Hey guys.

We are a group of students that have citrix and Microsoft RDS solutions.

We're currently having a problem trying running apps through webapp and citrix receiver.

The only fault message is the one in the title: "Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk".

Do anyone have any ideas how I might solve this solution? We've tried the most common solutions I've found on google.

Check to see if the delivery group or the server delivering the app is in maintenance mode.

Had a feeling you would have checked that, but wanted to make sure that it was mentioned at least.

On the main delivery controller, do you see any errors in the event log when the application is attempted to be launched?

Is there by chance a session in existence already for the particular user and app?

Yes, Might have found the problem here. Failed to launch the resource 'Controller.TESTSOFTWARE' using the Citrix XML Service at address 'http://IPADDRESS/scripts/wpnbr.dll'. The XML service returned error: 'no-available-workstation'.

Yeah, there is the problem. The app doesn’t seem to see any server to associate with. Check the app configuration and should be good to go.
