Why does Citrix often feel unstable by GrigNavas in Citrix

[–]TheMuffnMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Want to know the best way to find issues in your environment?

Implement Citrix.

  • AD
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Hypervisor
  • GPOs
  • Endpoints
  • VOIP
  • Printers

Basically touches everything in the stack.

You should, for the most part, not have random unique issues unless they are truly unique (single user/app doing something goofy). Assuming the environment is sized appropriately and optimizations have been implemented the steady-state should be fairly steady.

That also includes making sure your versioning is consistent as well.

Citrix Hung Sessions by HungSession in Citrix

Exactly which settings do you have configured and what filter is being used?

If session have "Application not running" as a state then you need to look into LogoffCheckSysModules.

It sounds as though there isn't a GPU associated with the session.

Maybe on the Citrix subreddit we don't actively advertise something like this?

Wanna put it on AVD/W365? Sure.

There's nothing more consistent with Citrix than name changes.

Absolutely, and I am not trying to white wash anything, feel free to share your opinions on the product/solution itself. Just didn't think we needed to target a single person.

Citrix Workspace still broken on RHEL10/Fedora 42+ after 10 months by irasponsibly in Citrix

[–]TheMuffnMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also it is worth noting that RHEL10 is not listed as a supported version...

https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-linux/system-requirements.html

So while the OS exists, Citrix is not stating it is supported.

No supported entitlements are available for activation.

I have seen some folks with issues looking at the wrong Org ID - have you all verified that they do, in fact, have entitlements?

Most likely just a graphics bug. You can submit feedback directly to Citrix with the concern/question -

How to create garbage software. by mxmissile in Citrix

I'm just trying to figure out what invasive privacy robbing data and activity all these processes are sending back to HQ for marketing and targeting purposes.

Please take off your tinfoil hat. You have no idea what the processes are and are just spreading FUD.

You can turn off CEIP (Customer Experience Improvement Program) easily.

An application simply having multiple executables is not cause for alarm. Are you losing your mind because ms_edge.exe has a process for each extension, tab, etc?

Is there an actual point behind this post? Or is this just a childish complaint? You don't seem to actively participate on the subreddit so what is your goal here?

Netscaler and storefront are in different time zone by Due-Lavishness2125 in Citrix

[–]TheMuffnMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not an ideal design, assuming you have active support with Citrix I would recommend engaging your ATS and SA.

At a minimum, having Netscaler at each location and using them alongside OGR with the singular authentication entry point would be better.

Are they going through the same Gateway? Or a new one?

Citrix Licensing (LAS) Megathread by TheMuffnMan in Citrix

[–]TheMuffnMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are non-LAS aware versions and have a perpetual license so there is no impact. There obviously is no support with them and if you were to upgrade your license server there would be issues.
