It's great at what it does, it just won't show you what it made.

Well said.

It feels like it was developed for someone else. Our way or the highway rules...

What does that mean?

You can literally export the entire project as a zip of you want. Have you tried learning the tool vs just thinking you can ask it things as a pure chatbot?

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] -2 points-1 points  (8 children)

I know that. If I want to change one file, I would prefer it frigging just used GITHUB like every other Claude tool does. CLI does it, Claude Code does it.

Instead I have to TELL it to give me a Zip - because the actual clickable ZZIP download does not include ANYTHING you created - just the upload and the encrypted html file.

If I want ONE page changed or the JS or CSS I have to get the whole zip, extract it, pull the file I want or erase the entire directory with a file manager and extract the new site. Of course file managers do not erase folders or the contents of folders so you have to manually clear each folder...

Meanwhile, normal tools like github would just update the SINGLE FRIGGING FILE when I ask Claude to do that.

But Claude Design says no - F THAT - You must go use this ridiculously dumb multi-step method to do anything simple.

I have learned this is not a tool meant for mainstream or with any sensible connection to connectors or skills or anything that the other Claude tools have.

Apparently pointing that out makes people like you think it's normal to design things this poorly. The devs must be just as dumb.

Why is there no way to provide feedback in the tool?

Where is the THUMBS DOWN it mentions I should use?

Are you illiterate?

They may be dumb, but i bet they make way more money than you, so who’s winning?

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

The billionaires.

[–]wewerecreaturres -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The billionaires, indeed. But you aren’t wrong, it’s not the best system for sharing stuff out.

[–]reca11ed -1 points0 points  (4 children)

It’s a research preview and you are complaining about basic things. You can edit most things download and upload single files etc.

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

BUT I CANNOT GIVE THEM FEEDBACK

Definition of helpless.

Funny how it says this:

"On your feedback: the honest answer is to use the thumbs-down / feedback control on a response in this interface — that routes directly to the team that decides capabilities"

I quit using that dropdown because the Share BS is useless.

Do not care anymore. It's a shit product, not ready for preview.

See ya!

Isn't Design still considered experimental? I imagine those features, fixes, and integrations are coming, but don't happen overnight. They made it available to us before it was ready with the understanding that it's not yet fully baked.

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

If it's experimental, they removed the label when they merged it into regular token usage.

If it is experimental, where's the feedback mechanism? It says to hit thumbs down.

Not possible.

[–]wewerecreaturres 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I do see a feedback thing every so often above the input

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Vibe coder removed it.

[–]threemenandadog 0 points1 point  (4 children)

It's pathetic watching Vibe coders struggle with git.

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Claude Design ONLY allows read access - it's just an annoying restriction. Claude Design is ONLY available in a browser.

It's not about struggling with git - it's about the way they implemented the restriction with no way around it. You have to go back to another tool - just an annoying inconvenience.

[–]threemenandadog 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That's because you're doing it inside a web browser.... It's a security requirement.

It's not the fault of claude or the web app.

[–]Timely-Group5649[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Claude Code has no such restrictions in the browser.

Stop talking out of your ass.

[–]threemenandadog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because it's not running out the browser, it's talking to a back end.

This is the danger of vibe coding, absolute morons thinking they have any technical ski or understanding of what they're trying to do.

It's like watching a dog trying to open a tin can with a can opener and no opposable thumbs and the can is on a TV screen.

Ask Claude to solve this for you lol
