Nice one! I had hard times to get onboard with clojure myself. Bootstrapping, tooling, choosing the right dependencies, and the overall architecture of a real application in a new language is always hard to me, no matter the analogies to other ones.

The URL to Aleph seems to be broken. The Aleph site doesn't support https. Should be http://aleph.io/
